How We Choose Books
Our editorial policy — the rules every BookNest recommendation follows.
1. Real books only
Every book on BookNest is a real, published title. Before listing a book we verify its title, author and publication history against library records (via Open Library), and we show the book's real cover. If we cannot verify a book, it does not get listed.
2. No paid placements
No publisher or author can pay to be listed, ranked or described favourably on BookNest. Our lists are built on a book's reputation, reader reception and lasting value — nothing else.
3. Honest descriptions
We describe what a book is about and who it is for. We never write fake reviews, never claim to have personally read a book we have not, and never invent ratings. Where a book has known limitations, our guides say so.
4. How we earn
As an Amazon Associate we may earn a commission when you buy through our links — at no extra cost to you. Commissions never decide which books we list; the same books would be here without them. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
5. Corrections
Found an error — a wrong author, year or description? Tell us via our contact page and we will fix it. Accuracy is the whole point of this site.
